Clean off her operate as Obi-Wan Kenobi’s nemesis, Moses Ingram has boarded Apple Television+’s adaptation of Laura Lippman’s Lady in the Lake, starring Natalie Portman.
Ingram replaces Lupita Nyong’o, who exited the series in May perhaps.
Made and directed by Alma Har’el, who also serves as government producer along with Portman, Lady in the Lake takes put in 1960s Baltimore, wherever an unsolved murder pushes Portman’s Maddie Schwartz, a housewife and mom, to reinvent her lifetime as an investigative journalist.
That sets her on a collision study course with Ingram’s Cleo Sherwood, a tough-performing woman juggling motherhood, numerous work and a passionate motivation to advancing Baltimore’s Black progressive agenda.
The ensemble solid also incorporates Y’Lan Noel (Insecure), Mikey Madison (Superior Items) and Brett Gelman (Stranger Issues).
In addition to Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Queen’s Gambit (for which she gained an Emmy Award nomination), Ingram’s past credits include Apple’s The Tragedy of Macbeth film (starring Denzel Washington) and Michael Bay’s AmbuLAnce (opposite Yahya Abdul-Mateen II).
