UK Puts New ‘Smart Motorways’ On Hold

Britain will pause the rollout of new “intelligent motorways” for five several years even though it gathers protection information on individuals currently operational, adhering to criticism that they are risky, the governing administration announced Wednesday.
Campaigners and the large-selling tabloid the Day-to-day Mail have led resistance towards the large-pace roadways, in which variable velocity limits are launched and the challenging shoulder is used as a usual lane, until it is necessary by crisis vehicles or a damaged down vehicle.
Signs over the street tell motorists which lanes are in use.
