For five superb seasons, “Insecure” punctuated our Sunday nights, social media feeds and group chats. The everyday living, loves and friendships of Issa Dee and her crew of youthful, formidable and thriving Black females became a section of the zeitgeist, and all of our lives feel just a little bit emptier realizing their tales have attained their conclusion (as far as we’ve viewed) when the HBO series’ finale aired on December 26th. We’ve advanced with these characters around the yrs — as a result of their romantic relationship failures, profession milestones and all-all around hijinks that created us chortle, cry, scream and each and every other human emotion we could conjure up. Their personalized advancement was not always linear, which made their journeys come to feel all the more authentic.
