Why do we celebrate Labor Day?

The countries except like Saudis Arabia and Qatar don’t celebrate this. Now we tell u about some interesting fact related to this topic.

International Labor Day celebration

International Labor day is observed to commemorate the struggle and the sacrifice of the workers and labors movements. It also known as Mayday. Mayday is celebrated in more than 80 countries. Probably its origin to the base of America. India is also included in this field and celebrate labor day as well every year for create a holiday on this occasion. When it started in 19th century in America not to be so much dependable but now it’s so active and popular. Now it is celebrated on 1st May as international workers day. Now the topic of our discussions “Why choose 1st may to celebrate this”.

This date is chosen by commemorate the hypermarket riot in Chicago in 1886. The hypermarket riot which was a violent confrontation between police and labor protester, soon become a symbol of workers right across the world.

In started people say that it is was celebrated in America on 5th September. And in India it was first time celebrated on 1st may in Madras which is known in present time as Chennai on 1923 led by Labour Kisaan Party Of Hindustan. The countries except like Saudis Arabia and Qatar don’t celebrate this. Now we tell u about some interesting fact related to this topic. There is a history behind it which say that no wear white after labor day. Unlike most countries that celebrate international day on 1st may, Labor day. Labor day this year falls on Monday 5th September, giving workers a short holiday but U.S does not celebrate international workers day, the date was selected to commemorated the hypermarket affair, which took place in Chicago on 4th may 1886. President Grover Cleveland signed a law in September as this date of national holiday.

Today I also greet to every person thank you and a very happy labor day. Please don’t ask “why I said it to all “because its not only for labor workers. If we see we find we all are workers and include in categories of labors. Workers day and labors day both are known as same in some countries and celebrate them together.In India it is called as Antarrashtriya Shramik Diwas.
