Common Pictures has teamed up with IMAX for a rerelease of Steven Spielberg’s vintage 1975 movie Jaws coming this summer season! The film will be hitting IMAX screens on September 2nd! You know, I’ve really by no means noticed Jaws on the large screen, so looking at it in IMAX will be a enjoyable encounter!
Jim Orr, president of Theatrical Distribution for Common Pictures reported in the announcement: “Universal is honored to have been a section of so lots of amazing, unforgettable Steven Spielberg movies in excess of the previous 47 years, together with Jaws in 1975, E.T. in 1982 and Jurassic Park in 1993. No filmmaker, it’s good to say, has had a higher or extra enduring impression on American cinema or has created additional indelible cinematic reminiscences for tens of billions of individuals globally. We could not imagine of a far more perfect way to rejoice the anniversary of E.T. and the very first Universal-Spielberg summer blockbuster, Jaws, than to allow for audiences to practical experience these films in a way they’ve in no way been equipped to ahead of.”
E.T. will be re-released in theaters on August 12th, for these of you who are fascinated. In Jaws, “When a young lady is killed by a shark even though skinny-dipping in the vicinity of the New England tourist city of Amity Island, law enforcement main Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) would like to shut the beach locations, but mayor Larry Vaughn (Murray Hamilton) overrules him, fearing that the loss of vacationer income will cripple the town. Ichthyologist Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and grizzled ship captain Quint (Robert Shaw) present to enable Brody capture the killer beast, and the trio engage in an epic battle of man vs. character.”
