Barcelona and Real Valladolid faced off each other in 28th August 2022. It was the last league match for Barcelona. Match was held at the Spotify Camp Nou Stadium. It was the match dominated by Barcelona. Barcelona had also beaten Real Sociedad by 4-1 margin in their previous game. They were pretty brave in their play against Real Sociedad. They played with four forwards at the very beginning of the game. Hence they had come to this encounter with tremendous confidence. Barcelona is coached by Xavi Hernandez. They defeated Real Valladolid by the margin of 4-0. This was the first win of the home season for the Barcelona. With this win they move to the third position in the points table with 7 points. Real Madrid is topping the table at the moment with 9 points with 3 wins as many games. Betis is at the second spot with 9 points too from 3 games but Real is ahead on the goal scored.

For Barcelona, Robert Lewandowski scored two goals. Pedri and Sergi Roberto were the other goal scorers. It was the performance which their coach can be mighty proud of. The season has been tough for Xavi from the beginning. They were unable to register their new signings before the start of the season meaning Xavi had to experiment the playing eleven in their first two games. They fully dominate the match from the beginning had great percentage of ball procession and created multiple chances. Jules Kounde was making his debut for Barcelona and was playing at right back and he looked pretty comfortable in that position.

Barcelona was 2-0 up at half time. The first goal came through an excellent pass by Raphinha to Robert Lewandowski who put the ball into the net. The second goal came just before half time. Ousmane Dembe’le’ pass the ball to Pedri who was inside the box and Pedri did the needful by putting the ball to the bottom corner with a nice touch.

Post half time also, Barcelona was relentless. Valladolid kept trying to defend as well as they can but unfortunately were no match for Barcelona who finished the match by scoring 2 more goals.
